Tonight we went into the studio and made the final takes on the new song Emotional. And also recorded some video to share with you.

Some days are like this.
And when they are like this I wake up and need to see the top of the mountain.
Just a small opening in the clouds, just a short glimps of the peek, would do fine.
Is it far away, am I heading in the right direction?
To give this struggling in the foothills some perpective…
To make this day’s walk a little easier on the feet and on my mind.

Some days are like this.

I’ve been looking everywhere for the master plan that will make us conquer the world. The secret formula that will make me able to write music straight into everybody’s heart. The harmonies that will mend things broken and bring tears into your eyes from pure emotion.

No, haven’t found it yet, so in the meanwhile we keep working on three new songs, hopefully released to you in the middle of October. Not the stuff for Gods maybe, but pretty good anyway (The best we ever done so far I think).

And if you have a copy of that grand scheme to spare, and if it’s not to expensive, you know where to find us.

The Broken Assembly

Aren’t we all sort of broken assemblies?
Breaking because of our silent dreams, our unspoken desires. Coming to halt like a nightmare that lingers under the sun, without a name, still not nameless.

And yet, we rise every morning, somehow, almost magically, patched together, brought to life from hope, love, compassion and hate. Assembled from all the things that makes us human.

We write our songs as spare parts to that machine, as gears and levers that make our assemblies a little bit less broken. As pulleys to ease the load. As grease to reduce the friction.
Or even as a distraction to makes us forget for a while.

And so here we are, with our songs, with our music, our spare parts.
We hope you have the time listen. And if you make them parts in your machine, if they make your assembly less broken, nothing make us feel better.

This sunday we went in to do some new vocal takes for the upcoming EP. Helena was in a good mood and we started tracking when the studio computer suddenly more or less died. Don’t know what happened, but we had to do several restarts and never got it really stable. Very frustrating indeed, and later takes where lacking feeling. Not hard to understand.
Still the early ones where very good. I think we can use some of them.
